Definition: CHIDIST is a function that returns the one-tailed probability of the chi-squared distribution.

Syntax: =CHIDIST(x, degrees_freedom)

Situation: This formula is suitable when you need to find the probability of a chi-squared distribution.

Example: If you have a chi-squared distribution with 4 degrees of freedom and a value of 6.5, the probability can be found using the formula =CHIDIST(6.5, 4), which returns a value of 0.164.
