HLOOKUP
The HLOOKUP formula is used to search for a value in the first row of a range of cells and return a value in the same column from a specified row. To use the HLOOKUP formula, select the cell where you want the result to appear and enter “=HLOOKUP(” followed by the value you want to search for, the range of cells you want to search in, the row number of the value you want to return, and whether you want an exact match or an approximate match. For example, “=HLOOKUP(A1,A2:D3,2,FALSE)” would search for the value in cell A1 in the first row of cells A2 through D3, and return the value in the second row of the same column.
Example:
Search for the value in cell A1 in the first row of cells A2 through D3, and return the value in the second row of the same column: =HLOOKUP(A1,A2:D3,2,FALSE).
